We are a large and growing group of
individuals and business owners, living and working within the
Norcross city limits, who share an interest in the well-being of our
town and its citizens. Our organization undertakes a number of
efforts to improve our day-to-day quality of life.
We are a
conduit of information - all members receive regular email notices
about meetings, events, and activities occurring within the City.
We
encourage our members to be active participants in our community. We
co-sponsor several Town Hall meetings each year to help our members
keep apprised of important civic information and events.
We volunteer
to assist with major events in our town. Norcross is home to a
number of popular, locally hosted gatherings in Thrasher Park, our
historic downtown, and other public areas. Our members pitch in with
set-up and take-down, security, greetings, and other forms of
assistance.
We conduct
two major events:
The
wonderfully successful Historic Norcross Holiday Home Tour
showcases a sampling of the historic structures that attract so
many to our community. And we return the proceeds from that
event directly to Norcross in the form of historic markers.
We
partner with United Peachtree Corners Civic Association to
sponsor the Corners to Crossing 10K Run and Musicfest. This fun
and exciting Spring event includes a concert and street dance in
the evening. Proceeds are donated to local civic and charitable
organizations.
We share
public safety advisories from our police force. When we are alerted
to a situation of general interest to our populace, we forward that
information as soon as possible via email.
We host two
celebrations each year – a summer ice cream social and a holiday
party – to which all members are welcome.
In short,
our aim is to help us all find ways to serve as good neighbors –
specifically, good
Norcross Neighbors, with a
wealth of benefits for membership.
